Hello! I'm Rumeysa Uzunoğlu, a sociology student. I'm also an ordinary reader and viewer, just like everyone else.

"The Unsuccessful Ones" was created to share my analyses of sociological, psychological, and philosophical topics that I ponder, as well as my reviews of the TV series and films I watch and the books I read.

This platform is the product of someone who aims to take what they read from their mental palace and put it into writing, someone who is still trying to understand the complex structure of society, who strives to place human behavior on an explainable and reasonable foundation, and who has been trying to digest the cultural structure and society in which they live for twenty years—in other words, someone who "fails to find their place." The content you will find here reflects the thoughts and perspectives filtered through the eyes of an aspiring sociologist. My aim is to think and question together with those who "fail to find their place," and to find things to hold onto.

Despite all this, carrying the inherent contradictions of being human, after contemplating and questioning all this, I can't help but ask myself, "What's the point of Sisyphus's effort to push that giant rock to the top of the hill, knowing it will fall again forever?" That's the story behind our slogan and logo.

"Those Who Cannot Hold On" takes its name from those who question the how and why of every moment, who search for a way out, who can never hold on to either life or death in this life. I must say that there is room here for every feeling, thought, and doubt, and that no one will be judged. I believe that everyone who cannot hold on will find a few sentences and feelings to hold onto here.
